She is available to visit local boarding barns, racecourses, therapeutic riding stables or private horse homes.

Sybil received her Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, she studied both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Sybil uses a variety of techniques including needles, moxabustion, cupping, gwa sha, and non-needling techniques to gently move the body back to a state of balance and health. Her areas of particular interest include pain management, gastro-intestinal disorders, and stress related issues. She has continued her studies through advanced classes in cupping, electro-acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, and facial rejuvenation. Sybil believes that creating a synergistic relationship with her patients encourages a healthy healing experience.

Sybil is a licensed acupuncturist by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine and Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She lives in Franklin with her husband and two daughters.

Acupuncture treats a variety of conditions including musculoskeletal disorders, gastro-intestinal issues, stress management, allergies, menopausal and PMS symptoms, sports injuries and general wellness.

Vimala Kumar : Acupuncturist, Herbalist and Ayurvedic Consultant

Vimala received her Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She has studied both Japanese and Chinese styles of acupuncture as well as Chinese herbal medicine. Her post graduate clinical studies have included an Acupuncture clinic at Boston Medical Center in the Department of Family Medicine. She has also continued her studies in Chinese Herbal medicine through a postgraduate clinic at Pathways to Wellness in Boston.

Prior to this, Vimala completed a two year course of study as taught by Dr Vasant Lad, reknowned Ayurvedic physician and teacher at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque New Mexico . Vimala has also studied yoga in India , and is interested in the ways in which yoga can be applied practically in everyday life.

Acupuncture treats a variety of conditions including musculo-skelatal disorders and sports injuries. It is also employed in the treatment of internal disorders such as OB-GYN related issues, and is generally used to boost immunity and promote good health. Ayurveda utilizes lifestyle strategies in order to implement wellbeing. Vimala combines all modalities her treatment style.

Justin has been a student and practitioner of Tuina, Taiji, Qigong, and Martial Arts since 2002. He studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Charles River Institute for Healing and Inner Arts, in the form of Asian Bodywork Therapy known as Tuina, one of the main branches of TCM. Justin has also taken intensive courses with Bill Helm, Dean of Allied Arts at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego for Tuina treatment of sports injuries, digestive disorders, infertility/menstrual disorders and orthopedic disorders. To round out his skills Justin has taken the Master Cupping course with Bruce Bently and attended The Massage School in Acton to get certification in Western style massage therapy. Justin also has a passion for herbs and makes his own topical creams, ointments, liniments, and poultices using a combination of Eastern and Western herbs for both acute and chronic injuries. Justin is always looking for ways to improve the quality of life for his patients. He believes the empowerment of health belongs to the people and strives to help his patients make the connection between their health and how their day-to-day decisions influence their well being.

About TuiNa

Tuina is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine, utilizing the same theories as Acupuncture. Hand techniques are used to stimulate and harmonize the Qi energy of the body through massage and manipulation of the energy pathways and their corresponding acupoints. This leads the body into a state of balance and self-healing. Tuina is unique due to its variety of hand techniques, particularly the oscillation methods, designed to relax the soft tissue, increase circulation, decrease pain and spasm, and realign the musculo-skeletal system. These techniques range from energy healing, subtle pressure, to deeper, more vigorous massage. Treatment methods vary according to each individuals complaints. Cupping is often employed in Tuina sessions to aid in healing and recovery of injuries. Loose comfortable clothing is generally worn through out the session.
